The customer need
Crescent Communities developed Vue West, formerly DTC Union, as a 310-unit luxury apartment community near the Denver Tech Center. Delivered in 2020, the property needed dependable hot water for residents and a clear plan for managing the equipment over the long term.
The TEAL approach
TEAL designed and provided a centralized hot-water plant serving all 310 apartments under a 15-year service contract. TEAL owned and operated the equipment, with responsibility for maintenance, repairs, and covered replacements. Beacon monitoring provided continuous visibility into temperatures, fault conditions, and system performance, connecting the plant with TEAL’s operations team.
The outcome
When Sequoia Equities acquired Vue West in 2023, the TEAL contract transferred without interruption or renegotiation. The new owner inherited the remaining service commitment and monitoring infrastructure. For the property team, the same equipment management relationship continued, with TEAL carrying responsibility for the hot-water plant’s maintenance and repairs.
